Stephen King Burhans, age 73, passed away at I.U. Health in Bloomington, Indiana on Tuesday, February 5, 2019. He was born February 7, 1945 in Indianapolis, IN to James Alexander and Elizabeth (King) Burhans.

Steve was a graduate of University High School and attended Indiana University. An avid duck hunter and sportsman, he was manager, with his brother Jim, at The Hollow Sporting Clays in Cloverdale. A master of many trades, Steve worked as an Iron Worker, Contractor for Siding and Guttering Specialist, and a bus driver for Bloomington Transit.

Steve is survived by his sister Betsy Burhans of Unionville, niece Janet Laughlin (Bob) of Ellettsville, along with their three daughters and nephew Jimmy Burhans of Bloomington. Also surviving, sister-in-law Judy Burhans of Ellettsville, step-sons and their spouses and children; Rodney Grissom (Indianapolis), Doug Grissom (Texas), Greg Grissom (Greenwood) and Brad Grissom (Florida).

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, brother James Alexander Burhans II, grandparents Frederick and Vada King and Percy and Daisy Burhams, along with several aunts and uncles.
