Stephen Albanese of Toms River, passed away Monday, May 12, 2014.

He leaves behind loving wife Melinda, daughter Miki Cammarata and son-in-law Sal of Wayne, son Steven Albanese and daughter in-law Christine of Jackson, step daughter April Florie and husband Mike of Toms River, step daughter Tara Cirminiello and son-in-law Rich of Toms River, sister Matilda DePalma of Beachwood, 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Stephen was pre-deceased by his daughter Patricia Albanese and sister Josephine Fusaro.

Steve was born in Newark, lived and worked in Bloomfield for many years and retired to Toms River. Over the course of his career he was a carpenter, home builder, and a housing inspector for the town of Bloomfield. Steve served in the US Army during the Korean War. Steve reveled in the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren and took great pleasure in family gatherings full of reminiscing, stories, photos and discussions about sports, movies and politics. He was known for his dry sense of humor, championing for the underdog (Snoopy), and his love of the New York Giants.
