Stephen A. Csrenko, 85, of Fountain Hill, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, November 20, 2008, at VNA Hospice of St. Luke’s in Lower Saucon Twp. He was the husband of Helen T. (Temos) Csrenko for 61 years. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Frank and Anna (Schamenek) Csrenko. Stephen worked for the Bethlehem Steel Corp. as a pipe fitter for 42 years until retiring in 1985. He proudly served his country in the Marine Corps as a Private First Class during World War II. He participated in action against the enemy at Okinawa, Ryukyu Islands in 1945 and later in the occupation of China. He was a guitar player extraordinaire who was the leader of the 4-Sports Band for many years. He was a member of St. Ursula’s Catholic Church in Fountain Hill and a member of it’s Holy Name Society. Survivors: He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Helen at home; son Terrance S. Csrenko and his wife Darlene of Allentown; twin daughters Karen M. Golias and her husband Daniel of Fredericksburg, MD and Kathleen A. Hartigan and her husband Edward of Bethlehem; grandchildren Terrance, Gretchen, Tara Lynn and great-grandchildren Amber, Mackenzie, Hannah, Gabriel, Olivia, Kaylee, Kiersten, Abigail and Kalic. He was predeceased by brothers Frank and Charles.
