Friday, March 23, 2018 our bratty sister, Sara, got everything she wanted. Stephanie Danise Evans was welcomed home by her beloved daughter.
Stephanie was born March 6th, 1959 to Robert and Joyce Winward in Salt Lake City, Utah. The second of four daughters. She graduated from Pocatello High School in 1977 and remained a loyal PHS Indian throughout her whole life. On August 12, 1977 she was sealed to her tall dark handsome sweetheart, Mark Bradley Evans. Young and in love, they started a family. Four daughters later, they spent some time asking themselves what they had done.
Guided by their strong testimony in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and holding the hand of her husband, our mom worked tirelessly to raise us. She made us dresses and taught us to sew. She made our dinners from scratch and became infamous for her pumpkin chocolate chip muffins. Prized by her family and all who tasted them. Packages of muffins were often mailed around the country and received with much anticipation.
She opened her home to our friends, their family’s and anyone looking for shelter from the storms of life. She taught us to have faith and listen to the spirit.
