Stella Mae Paff, 85, of Elkhart, passed away Saturday, Jan. 14, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Wakarusa.

She was born July 20, 1931, in Elkhart, to Clayton Jay and Florence Margaret (Klein) Holdeman.

On Oct. 4, 1952, she married her husband of 64 years, Len L. Paff of Welesley, Ontario Canada in Elkhart.

They moved to the Jimtown area on C. R. 26 in 1965 where she resided until her fall in October of 2016.

In addition to her husband, other survivors include her daughters, Tina (Jim) Williams and Tara (Ron) Short, both of Elkhart; grandchildren Dominic, Thomas (TJ), Ronald, Alaina, Alyssa and Aiden; a sister, Violet Yaw; and a brother, David (Sandra) Holdeman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Vera Holdeman, Juanita Huitema and Nedra Holdeman; brothers-in-law Richard Yaw and Robert Huitema; and sister-in-law Benita Holdeman.

Stella was a graduate of Jefferson High School.

She and her husband were the owners of Concrete Limited Inc. for more than 30 years and currently run the businesses of L & S Realty and C-L Sales.

Stella was a member of Women’s AGLOW, served as a patient advocate for RESCARE for more than 30 years and Tough Love International for many years where she and her husband ran meetings, set up groups and touched many lives around the Michiana area.

She often enjoyed flying and was a licensed pilot for several years.
