Stella V. Langley, 77, of Bedford, passed away on May 29th at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Stella was born on October 20, 1933 in Monroe County and was the daughter of Orville and Virginia (Sciscoe) Deckard. She had worked through the years as a nurse, florist and hairdresser. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, crafts, cooking and loved spending time with her family and friends. Stella was of the Apostolic Faith.

Survivors include her husband Willis Langley of Bedford, four daughters, Karen Lasley (William) of Greensboro, NC, Tereasa Polley (Dan) of Bloomington, Willena Owens (John Cook) of Mitchell, and Sheila Gevedon (Mike) of Brandon, Florida, two sons Allen Langley (Fiancée Christine Gordy) of Bloomington and Tony Langley of Bedford.

Stella is also survived by two brothers, Cletis Deckard (Helen) of Unionville and Louie Deckard (Nancy) of Modesto, California, 8 grandchildren, Tangie Shirely (Mark), Joseph Hunter, Sherry Kay, Melissa Smith (Chad), Michelle Owens, Natalie Crohn (Drew), Branan and Travis Gevedon, and 4 great grandchildren Shawn Kay, Dylan and Alex Smith and Jacob Gevedon, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Charlie Deckard, Chauncey Deckard. Wallace Ray Deckard and sister Dora Mae Deckard preceded her in infancy.
