Stella Elizabeth Pettit (nee Pawlowicz) of Burlington passed away on Friday, January 4, 2013 at Samaritan Inpatient Hospice Center with her family by her side. She was 91. She was a longtime Burlington resident who worked as a seamstress for National Dress Company and retired from Peerless Dress Factory, both in Burlington. A devoted parishioner of All Saints RC Church, she belonged to the Altar Rosary Society. Stella was an avid reader, Phillies fan and baker.

For many years her family and friends enjoyed the specialty cookies she shared during the Christmas season. Stella crocheted throughout her life and, in her later years, won many blue ribbons at the Burlington County Farm Fair and donated baby hats to Capital Health’s Newborn Nursery. Lovingly called “G-Baci”, her great grandchildren kept the sparkle in her eye and smile on her face. The pleasure they brought her was better than any medicine a doctor could order. She was predeceased 50 years ago by her husband, Joseph J. Pettit and recently by her devoted daughter, Patricia A. Grenda, as well as her eight brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son, John A. Pettit of Stafford, VA; son in law, Joseph A. Grenda, granddaughters and grandsons in law Catherine (Kevin) Reeves, Christine (Alan) Snow, Cynthia (George) Rogers, Carolyn (Keith) Holler, all of Burlington, and granddaughter, Meghan Hernandez of Vernon, CT; great grandchildren who brought joy to her days Melanie Reeves, Andrew Snow, Kyle Holler, Connor Holler, Justine Rogers, Luke Rogers, Colin Holler, Kayla Holler, all of Burlington, and Robert Hare of Vernon, CT.
