Stella Clara Podraza (Nee: Kardys) was born in Burlington City on June 25, 1915 and resided in Burlington all her life. Last year Stella had the honor of joining the Century Club and celebrated her life with family and many friends. Stella attended All Saints Grammar School and graduated from Wibur Watts High School, Class of 1933. Along with her husband, she owned and operated Podraza’s Grocery Store in the Mehlville neighborhood of Burlington for many years. Stella was a lifelong member of All Saints R.C. Church, where she belonged to the Altar and Rosary Society and St. Anne’s Society.

She also belonged to the Good Cheer Club and the Burlington Senior Citizens Club. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going on senior trips, cooking Sunday dinner for the family and vacationing in Wildwood. Predeceased by her parents Rose and Michael Kardys and her husband Felix J. Podraza, sisters Helen Praglowski(Stanley), Mary Borsch(George) and brother Edmund Kardys.

Stella is survived by her children: Helen M. Riker (Richard), Felix M. (Bonnie) Podraza, Stanley A. (Arlene) Podraza; a sister Cecilia(Arthur) Cooper, and sister-in-law Jeanette Kardys; grandchildren: John A. Lazzarotti, Jr. (Deanna), Felice O’Boyle (James), Monica Hinkle (Peter), Jennifer Sprouse (Jamie), Johanna Betts (Bryan), Ashley Ann, Michael, Anthony and Nicholas Podraza; step-grandchildren: Larry H. Dotson, Jr., Margaret Dotson, Katherine Michalowicz, Dianna Dotson Kelly; great-grandchildren: Jason Taylor, Carleigh, Josh Sprouse, Ryan, Kaleigh, Thomas O’Boyle, Luke Betts, Brooke Hinkle, Thomas Kozub and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
