Stanton D. Green, 77, of Vandalia, died peacefully Tuesday morning, February 4, 2014, in Cass County Medical Care Facility, Cassopolis.
Stanton was born July 7, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois to James and Pochahontas (Campbell) Green. He married Barbara Lynn Williams August 14, 1979 in Chicago, Illinois. She survives. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Terry Green; and one granddaughter. Stanton was passionate about sports and was a champion bowler.
Family and friends will greatly miss Stanton. He is survived by his wife Barbara (Williams) Green of Vandalia; one daughter, Stenita Green of Bloomington, Illinois; three sons, Stanton “Butch” Green, Michael Green, Denardo Green; two step-sons, Edward Anthony (Sandra) Christie, Jr., of Vandalia, Craig Oliver (Maggie) Christie of Hannah, Wyoming; fourteen grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
