Stanley Wester Magnuson, age 73, of Walker, Minnesota was called home on Tuesday, June 11th, 2019 from the Melody Care Home in Apache Junction, AZ. Stan was born in Minneapolis, MN on July 11th, 1945, one of three sons born to Helen (Wester) and Marvin Magnuson.

Before Stan was wheelchair bound from LS, he enjoyed refinishing old things like his old farmhouse in the country and other antiques. He took his house from shabby to amazing with his hard work and skill. Stan had a passion for unique clocks, like cuckoo clocks and antique clocks were his favorite. Stan loved to travel, he especially enjoyed taking cruises. He loved travelling so much that he became a travel agent so that he could help others plan their travels. He often organized large group cruises so that he could join them. Stan loved people and people loved Stan. So much so, that he was elected the Mayor of the small town of Haugen, WI for a short time back in the ‘80’s. Stan loved being around people. The more people he could be around the better. There were days, even when he wasn’t working at the Ranch House, that Stan would sit at the bar area just so he could socialize with the customers.  His friendship will be missed by many.

Family that Stan is reunited with are his son, Gregory Wayne Magnuson; his parents, Helen and Marvin Magnuson; a brother, Harold Magnuson and other relatives.

He leaves behind his daughter, Amy (David) Michelle Briggs of LaCrosse, WI; brother, Richard (Cherrie) Magnuson of Eagan, MN; grandchildren, Hannah and Gaven Smith and Cameron and Karli Briggs; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
