Stanley “Stan The Man” J. Piotrowski, 93 of Farmington, formerly of Plainville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 13, 2011. He was the devoted husband of Marion (Rubino) Piotrowski and together they shared 69 years of marriage. Born in Manchester, NH on November 16, 1917, he was the son of the late Frank and Anna (Opapaka) Piotrowski.
Stanley graduated from Manchester Central High in New Hampshire where he was an outstanding football player earning the nickname “Old 68”. After high school, he joined the Civilian Conservation Corp and after that went on to be a part of the New Hampshire Army National Guard.
Besides his loving wife Marion, he leaves his son Richard Piotrowski and his wife Claudia of Plainville and a son Stephen of Farmington; his grandchildren Richard Jr. and his fiancée Tara of New Britain, Courtney of New York City, Gary of Plainville and Jenna of Boca Raton, FL; along with several nieces and nephews throughout NH and MA. He was predeceased by his siblings Julia, Theodore, Joseph, and Matthew.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Summit of Plantsville for the last six years of outstanding care and to the third floor staff at Bradley Memorial Hospital for their compassion for Stanley over the past week.
