He was preceded in death by his wife, Debra Kay Breedin Dias, on May 15, 2011.
He is survived by his children, John Dias II of Clanton, AL, Lynn Williams (Christopher) of Bailey, Tracy Cooper (Noah) of Stony Point, and Robert Dias of Cleveland and 13 grandchildren.
