Sophie Anne Chernovetz, a lifelong resident of West Haven, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on January 8, 2012. She was predeceased by her parents Pavel and Anastasia Manulik Chernovetz as well as her siblings Peter, John, Katherine Wheaton Stanford, Mary Shemouny Miessau, Vera, Helen Schlosser, William and Violet. Sophie is survived by her brother M. Nicholas (Gabrielle) Chernovetz and sister Ann Kuziel. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, including Janet Schlosser and her caregivers Nancy Ronan and Daniel Ronan.
