Sonia Spratling passed away November 28, 2013 at the age of 75.
She was born November 10, 1938, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Sonia parents, Wayland and Alma Shannon, moved back to Fort Walton Beach when she was four years old. She graduated from Choctawhatchee High School in 1956 where she had been in the band and was a majorette.
After graduating business college, she married her high school sweetheart Adolphe (Al) Spratling. She traveled the world with Al, who was in the United States Air Force. Fourteen years later they returned to Fort Walton Beach with their family.
Sonia is survived by her children Tonia Miller and Todd Spratling, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
