Sister Mary Josephine Miller, O.L.V.M., age 96, a resident of Victory Noll, 1900 W. Park Drive, Huntington, IN passed away at 9:55 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Holy Family Health Care Center, Victory Noll, 1900 W. Park Drive, Huntington, IN. Sister was born on October 27, 1916 in Detroit, Michigan to Joseph A. and Elsie Wendland Miller. Her parents preceded her in death.
Sister Mary Josephine entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on February 9, 1935 and made first Vows on March 25, 1938. She ministered in the states of Kentucky, Texas, New Jersey, Utah, California, Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana. She returned to Holy Family Health Care Center in 2005.
Sister is survived by one brother, Jack F. Miller of Detroit, MI; and one sister, Margaret Dayner of San Jose, California. She is also survived by her Victory Noll sisters with whom she shared life and community for 78 years.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by five brothers, George, Raymond, Herbert, Richard, Larry; and two sisters, Therese and Rose.
