Sigvart O. Svalestad, 91, of Manchester, beloved husband for 60 years to the late Sylvia O. (Heggen) Svalestad was promoted to glory on Sunday, February 14, 2016. He was born on October 4, 1924 in Norway son of the late Alfred and Elena Svalestad. Sigvart earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Guttenberg in Sweden. Prior to his retirement in 1985, he was employed for over 35 years with Combustion Engineering in Windsor, CT.
