Waterbury – Mr. Joseph P. Zilaro, age 73, of Waterbury passed away Monday November 24, 2014. Mr. Zilaro was born on April 28, 1941 and was happily married to Janice Lee (Hannon) Zilaro for 42 years. He retired as a middle school teacher at St. Mary’s in Middletown and approached each day with a song in his heart, a passion for fishing, and love for his family. Joe is survived by a daughter: Jenny Andrews and her husband Jim of Boston, Ma., a son: Patrick Zilaro and his wife Sheila of San Diego, Ca., two grandchildren: Rose and Carter Zilaro, his Mother in Law: Jennie Hannon of Cheshire and his best friend: Louis DiCorpo of Waterbury.
