Shirley W. McNemar, of Stonewood, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Grafton City Hospital following an extended illness. She was born in Clarksburg, September 5, 1925 the daughter of the late William and Eva Thompson Cunningham. Shirley is survived by her husband of 68 years, Thomas J. McNemar of Stonewood. She is also survived by five children: Barbara Weaver of Bridgeport; Shirley “Janei½i¿½i¿½ Anderson of Durham, NC; Thomas McNemar of Clarksburg; Terry and wife Kathy McNemar of Stonewood and Twila Cunningham of Raleigh, NC; four grandchildren; Todd Anderson and wife Kathey of Salsbury, NC; Erin Anderson Brock and husband Kevin of Columbia, SC; Molly Feldman and husband Derek of Lexington, KY; and Mady McNemar of Hattiesburg, MS; one great grandchild, Lilly Adele Feldman; sisters; Patricia Blakesmith of Mentor, OH; Norma Sine of Moundsville, WV; Annette James (Ron) Hyattsville, MD; Eva Shearer (Paul) of Bridgeport, WV; and Sandra McCullough (Lonnie) of Mt. Clare. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers; William and Robert Cunningham. Shirley was a homemaker and protestant by faith. She was an exquisite soprano soloist, and throughout her life, performed at many events and churches. The family is grateful for the love and care Shirley received for the past several months from her caregivers at Beulah Land Personal Care Home in Knottsville.
