Shirley Hendrix Cook, age 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 16, 2020 at Manor Lake Assisted Living in Hiram, GA with her family by her side. She was born in Carrollton, GA on April 10, 1939 to the late Elmer Hendrix and Ruth Weldon Hendrix.
Along with her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her husband Samuel Clark Cook, Jr. and their son Michael Thomas Cook. She is survived by her children, Sam C. Cook, III, daughter-in-law Susie Cook, Robert E. Cook and his husband John Ball-Cook; grandchildren, Stephanie Lynn Cook and her husband Michael Callison, Shelby Marie Cook and Kaitlyn Elizabeth Cook. She is also survived by sisters, Erma Jean Todd and her husband Doyle, Louise Muse, Marie Hollis and her husband James.
