Shirley Marie Bradin, 83, Huntington, IN, passed away at 8:17 A.M. on Monday, September 12, 2011 at Huntington Parkview Hospital. Shirley Marie Bradin was born May 14, 1928 to Carlos Edwin and Olive (Lovelace) Walston in Marion, Indiana.
Her parents preceded her in death. She graduated from Marion High School in 1946. Shirley married John S. Bradin on January 21, 1948 in Marion, IN. He survives and resides in Huntington. Mrs. Bradin was a homemaker. She was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
She was a member of the Girl Scouts of America, Child Conservation Club, Newcomers Club and the Canasta Club. She received Scholastic Art Awards from the William H. Block Company. Survivors include: two sons: James (Rhonda) Bradin, Garrett, IN and Joseph (Theresa) Bradin, Huntington, IN, four daughters: Nancy (Gary) Mickley, Huntington, IN.; Julie (Giuseppe) Ceravolo, Huntington, IN.; Pamela “”Susie”” (Ricky) Smith, Fort Wayne, IN. and Deborah Tinsley, Vallejo, CA., 15 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by four sisters: Violet Wald, Rita Michaud, Phyllis Price, and Bonnie Jo Cossette.
