Shirley M. Delaney, 93, of LaSalle, passed away Sunday morning, May 23, 2021 at St. Margaret’s Health, Peru. Shirley was born January 11, 1928 in Spring Valley to Robert and Katherine (Picca) Wroblesky. She married Bernard J. “Bernie” Delaney on January 11, 1947 in Spring Valley.
He passed away on December 17, 1985. Shirley worked at Westclox, Bassick’s in Spring Valley, and was a volunteer EMT for Peru Ambulance. Shirley and Bernie were early longtime members of the South Shore Boat Club. She was a big Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed playing cards with her friends.
Survivors include her two daughters, Diane Noramczyk and Donna (Jeffrey) VanOstran both of LaSalle; three grandchildren, Mike (Melanie) Noramczyk, Dan (Jen) Noramczyk, and Barbara Monier and two great-grandchildren, Brady and Connor Noramczyk.She was preceded in death by her parent;, her husband, Bernard, and son-in-law, Robert Noramczyk.
