Shirley Louise Andrews, 69 of Independence passed away Monday August 30, 2010 at Ruby Memorial Hospital with family by her side. She was born May 1, 1941 in Mon County-Clinton Furnace, daughter of the late Otta and Aretta Gay Stewart Given. Shirley was a homemaker and she attended the Independence Baptist Church and collected angels.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, James Lenard Andrews, two sons, Otto H Andrews, Independence, James L Andrews Jr. and wife Kimberly of Silver Springs, NV, and a foster son Paul Hull Independence; one grandchild, Warren Green; two brothers, James Given, Woodfield, Ohio, Herman Given, Frametown, WV; three sisters, Jean Given, Frametown, WV, Ida Brown, Morgantown, WV, Lucille Shepard, Richmond, VA, one sister-in-law, Bessie Given, Morgantown, WV, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by one brother, Ernest R Given.
