Shirley L. Rahilly (nee Challender), age 76, of Beverly died Sunday February 20, 2011 at her son’s residence. Mrs. Rahilly was born in Mt. Holly and grew up in Florence and was a longtime resident of Edgewater Park before moving to Tennessee and then finally coming to Beverly to live with her son Timothy. Shirley had worked at the ammunition plant in Burlington during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. She then worked for the J. Chein Company in Burlington for 22 years.
She had also worked for Franklin Electronics in Burlington Twp. She was a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Burlington. Wife of the late Leo Rahilly who died in October 2004, she was also predeceased by her granddaughter Brianna. Shirley is survived by her sons and daughters in law; L. Michael and Cheryl, Bryon W. and Kathy, Kevin C., Timothy W. and Jeannette and Sean P. and Jennifer, her grandchildren; Stephanie, Bryon Jr., Raymond, Dorina, Lauren, Zachary, Jennifer, Angela, Kevin, Jr., Lindsey, Jordynn, Sean, Jr., and Logan, her great grandchildren; Sophia M. Kelly, Joseph M. Rosario, Mason Thomas Warren and Giavonna Bella Foster, as well as many nieces and nephews.
