Shirley Gene Grimm
Shirley Gene Grimm of Gooding, Idaho left this life and continued on to the next on March 2, 2013 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Twin Falls, Idaho.
She was born in Long Beach, California on March 25, 1931 to Pearl and James Blackwell. She spent her growing up years and early adulthood in California until she met and married the love of her life, Harold Burr Grimm, a Navy boy from Idaho. After his discharge from the Navy and the birth of their first son in 1953, Shirley was transplanted to Idaho where her roots grew wide and deep and she has been home here ever since. Harold and Shirley spent the next 35 years sharing time in the Boise area as well as Fairfield, Harold’s hometown. Harold passed away in July of 1988. Since that time, Shirley continued to call Fairfield home for a while and Twin Falls also for a short period of time.
She is a long-time resident of the Gracehill Apartments in Gooding, Idaho where she was residing at the time of her death and she enjoyed the love and companionship of many wonderful friends there.
Shirley is survived by her two sons, Roy and his wife Kris of Taipei, Taiwan, Jay of Twin Falls, Idaho, 11 grandchildren and an every-increasing number of great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sweet little dog and constant companion, Pandi.
She was preceded in death by her parents and older brother, Roy, her precious husband, Harold and her daughter, Beverly who was also her very best friend.
