Shirley E. Bowers, 88, of Lanark, died Thursday, July 3, 2014, at her home. She was born June 12, 1926, in Rockford. She married Harry Bowers on November 30, 1944, and he preceded her death on December 26, 2012. Surviving are her children, Pamela (Cris) Wooden of Kingston, Oklahoma; and Michael Ray Bowers of Streamwood; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister; and one stepbrother.
