Shirley Ann Stabnik, 71, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2007, in her home.
Shirley was born in South Bend on November 17, 1935, in South Bend, to the late Stanislaw and Teodora “Dorothy” (Wiza) Grzegorek, and was a lifelong area resident.
She attended St. Hedwig grade school and South Bend Catholic High School.
On February 1, 1964, as Shirley Ann Grzegorek, she married Clem Stabnik, who preceded her in death on November 25, 2001. Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Louise Susan, Florence Grzegorek, Leona Karsas, Gertrude Skowronski and Lorraine Dunivent; and by four brothers, Harry, Daniel, Norbert and Richard Grzegorek.
Shirley is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and by a good friend, Sandy Redman.
She was a parishioner of St. Hedwig Catholic Church, where she belonged to the Rosary Society. She was also a member of A.A.R.P.
