Shirley Ann (Chalifoux) Larson, of Newington, devoted wife of Bruce Larson, passed away November 4th, 2021. Born November 9th, 1961 she was daughter to the late Joseph Chalifoux and the late Therese (Marcotte) Chalifoux of Windsor Locks. Shirley worked in the transport refrigeration industry, holding various positions throughout her more than twenty-year career. Shirley enjoyed the simple things in life. Shirley always found joy in some activity whether it was gardening, working on some project, out on her motorcycle, or grilling outside. She always wore a smile. If you happened to be lucky enough to be loved by Shirley, you were never alone. Her ability to bring laughter through story telling will be sorely missed. She leaves so many family members and friends behind to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of 24 years, Bruce Larson of Newington, daughter Jessica DeGray of New Hartford, brother Steven Chalifoux of Brewer, Maine, brother John Chalifoux of Enfield, brother David Chalifoux and wife Carolyn of Higganum: grandson Darren DeGray of New Britain: niece Nicole Koleszar and husband Jesse Koleszar of Torrington, nephew Shane Chalifoux of Enfield. She was predeceased by her brother Gary Chalifoux of Windsor Locks, and her son Earl DeGray III of Newington. Her closest friends Linda, Kathy, and Chuck were always very close to her heart, as well as so many more, too numerous to mention. Her courageous furry companion Ziva was by her side while she battled her illness. The family would like to give special thanks to Hartford Healthcare Cancer Center and affiliates, Newington Rapid Recovery, and Compassus for their continued compassionate care. Masks will be required.
