Shirley Ann Burns Canaday, 75, Anderson, passed away November 14, 2011 at her son’s residence. She was born May 17, 1936 in Tipton, Indiana, and resided in Anderson the majority of her life.
Shirley retired from Plant 3 of Delco Remy Division of General Motors. She was a member of Bethany Christian Church.
She is survived by her son, Victor Delaplane Vicky of Anderson; brother, David Burns Wilma of Atlanta; grandchildren, Jeramiah Delaplane Lisa, Jennifer Morgan, Joshua Delaplane Crystal and Marcus Delaplane; great grandchildren, Koren Delaplane, Brenden Delaplane and Cora Delaplane; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Jeannie Brumfield and Nancy Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Charles Robert Canaday on April 6, 1997; parents, Glen and Thelma Burns; and sisters, Maxine Fritch, Nancy Hancock and Margie Pearson.
