Age 85 of Burt passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Ashley Care Center.A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Nelson-House Funeral Homes Martin Chapel. Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 18 from 4:00 to 8:00pm and on Friday from 10:00am until the service. Shirley was born on September 3, 1932 to Otto and Erie (Terry) Sutton in Saginaw. She graduated from Chesaning High School. Throughout her life, Shirley worked in various secretarial positions.During her life, Shirley loved polka dancing. She was involved with a polka dancing group for 30 years. She enjoyed her Monday night card club, she was active with the Albee Township Seniors, and she attended the Sheridan Baptist Church. Shirley was a caring, loving person, and she loved taking care of other people.Shirley is survived by her children, Dr. Joseph Burtch, Gary Burtch, and Brenda (Brian) Jacques; her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jacob (Samantha), Alex (Amanda), Dustin, and Rachel; her great-grandchildren, Jenna and Madison; her brother, Everett Sutton; and many other loving family and friends.She is predeceased by her parents, Otto and Erie Sutton, and her brother, Ernie Sutton.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the family for Shirley’s memorial stone.
