Muncie – Shirley A. (Lykins) Cantrell, 72, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at I. U.
Shirley was born in Muncie on July 31, 1941, the daughter of Robert and Anna (Taylor) Hillman, and attended Muncie Schools.
Mrs. Cantrell worked for Parkview Health Care for five years then worked for Woodlands Nursing Home for sixteen years before her retirement. She sold Avon for over 40 years.
Survivors include her brother, Robert Hillman, (wife-Jessica), Muncie; a sister, Robin Johnson, Muncie; a daughter-in-law, Melissa York, Muncie; three grandchildren, Danni Collins, (husband-Matt), Scotty York, (wife-Lisa), Bekka York, all of Muncie; two great grandchildren, Braylee York and Hayden Collins; two nieces Clarissa Thompson, (husband-Steve), and Whitney Hillman, (husband-Tyler Riggin) both of Muncie, two nephews, Elijah Hillman, and Calvin Turner, both of Muncie; a great niece, Alora Thompson; a great nephew, Phoenix Thompson and several cousins and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glenn Cantrell; and a son, Robert “Doug” York.
