She was born on October 29, 1937 in Knoxville, TN, to George and Gertrude Hixson. On April 5, 1965, Shirley became the wife of Max E. Potter.
Shirley was a homemaker and mother, first and foremost. She also, worked at the Park Inn Motel in Linton as a housekeeper for 16 years and at the Linton Goody’s store for 10 years.
Shirley was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Max Potter; two sisters and one brother.
