Shirley A. Cook passed away peacefully on February 2, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born June 26, 1938, in Plainwell, MI to the late Leon and Ethel (Sweeney) Barrett.
Shirley worked as a gauge keeper for National Water Lift for over 25 years. She married Donald Cook on August 30, 1973, and together they shared 25 years of marriage until his death in 1998. Shirley enjoyed shopping, fishing, arts and crafts, and the occasional trip to the casino.
She is survived by her children, Dawn (Don) Dean, Vickie (Ken) Lewis, Beckie Rocha, Desiree Roberson, Rodney (Annie) Rocha; step-children, Angie (Doug) Santee, Steve Cook, Denny (Mary) Cook, Perry Cook; 24 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Betty McNees. Preceding Shirley in death was her husband, Donald; and brother-in-law, Jack McNees.
