Sheryl Lynn (Sojka) Spoering, age 40, beloved wife of Erik Spoering, was called home on Monday, June 13, 2011 at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, was born on June 21, 1970 in Derby, CT and was the daughter of William Sojka of Thomaston and the late Karen (Turgeon) graduates from Seymour High School in 1988 and worked for several years as an Interior Designer after earning her Interior Design degree from Harcum College. She was a member of Southbridge Fellowship in Raleigh, NC and the Trinity Episcopal Church in Seymour, addition to her devoted husband and father, Sheryl leaves her sisters, Leslie Sojka of Seymour and Shelly Sojka of Bristol. She is also survived by her Goddaughter Taylor Sojka of Trumbull, her mother and father-in-law, George and Shelley Spoering of Simsbury, sister-in-law Karen Spoering of Simsbury and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. She will also be missed by her adored dogs, Rex and Lola.
