Sherrie was born in Ajo AZ Sept 29, 1953. She graduated from Ajo High School in 1971 and moved to Flagstaff to attend Northern Arizona University. Sherrie loved working as a field rep and area manager for Woodmen of the World Insurance Society for over 20 years. She was an administrative assistant with Horizon Moving Systems from 2006 to recent.

The courage while she battled cancer came from her lifelong desire to experience everything she could with open arms and a bright smile. Her zeal for life left a lasting impression on all whom she encountered. She had a unique ability to let you know she loved you, always put others before herself, and remind you that life is something to be thoroughly enjoyed no matter the circumstances. She loved her cats and could not turn away a hungry cat needing a meal.

She volunteered countless hours in helping the Woodmen of the World Lodge 123 facilitating yearly picnics and Christmas parties for members and their families and donating flags and supplies to the local schools.

Sherrie was preceded in death by her mother Ida Ladd in 2009.

Sherrie is survived by her father Carlton (Bev) Oglesby of Tucson AZ, sister Cricket “sissy” (Donnie) Stinson of Milledgeville GA, brothers Mark (Michele) Oglesby of Prescott AZ, Chuck Oglesby of Tucson AZ, and 4 nieces and nephews and 1 great-niece.
