Sheri Rutherford Jameson, age 55, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Novant Health Prince William Medical Center, due to complications of pneumonia and advanced colon cancer. Sheri was born on April 30, 1960 in White Pine, Tennessee to Betty Jo Rutherford and the late George Leon Rutherford. She graduated from Jefferson County High School, Dandridge, TN in 1978, and from Draughon’s Junior College in 1982, with an Associate’s Degree in Medical Office Transcription. Sheri was the loving wife of Stephen Allen Jameson, and they were married for 29 years; she was also the very proud mother of two children: Kristen Nicole Jameson, age 23; and Ethan Andrew Jameson, age 14. Sheri loved being a homemaker, her job and passion for the past 23 years; she also loved sending care packages and cards to encourage her fellow colon cancer survivors. Her most prized possession was her bright red Volkswagen Beetle Convertible, which she loved to drive with the top down every chance she could. Other survivors include her sister, Debra K. Batson of Dandridge, TN.
