Shea Lake Heid December 1, 2009 – January 14, 2022
Amelia Louise Heid August 16, 2016– January 14, 2022
Shea and Amelia Heid transcended our world in the early morning Friday, January 14th. These beloved girls made the world a better place and were cherished by those who knew them. Shea and Amelia were not only sisters, but also best friends, who adored their baby sister Hadley. The girls spent hours imagining, creating, and finding adventure together. Some of their adventures included building tree forts in the woods, swimming in the lake and looking for frogs. They explored the world around them with their family members and pets. They both loved Jesus, and Amelia always wanted to be the one to say grace.
Twelve-year old Shea was a six grader at Rossville Middle School. Kind and caring, she was well-liked by her peers. Shea was the best big sister anyone could wish for and with a loving heart she doted on both Amelia and Hadley. She found her passion in music and drama. This fall, Shea had played the role of a villager in Rossville’s Frozen musical and sang a solo at the Christmas Choir Concert. Shea also enjoyed playing Volleyball with her school team. Shea was a brave little girl with a loving heart. She loved the science lesson at Covenant Church’s summer adventure program.
Amelia was in her last year of preschool at Future Scholars and would have started kindergarten next fall. Amelia, or Queen as she liked to be known, was creative, curious, and a whipper-snapper smart five-year old. Although not able to be confirmed, Amelia claimed to be a werewolf. Amelia’s vibrant personality entertained her many friends at preschool. Her eyes would light up with excitement as she engaged her listeners with magical tales. She “designed” her costumes at home to fit her stories.
Amelia and Shea are survived by their parents, Brandon and Telia Heid; little sister Hadley Heid; grandparents Kathy Heid, Laura and Wayne Killian, and Barry and Melissa Blankman; great grandparents Yvonne Blankman, Mary Killian, and Jim and Keltie Knoth; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who are reeling from their loss.
Mask will be required to attend services.
