Shawn James Finney
Shawn James Finney, 55 years old, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014 with his girls by his side.
He was born August 31, 1958 in Ogden, Utah to Charles R. Finney and Anna Lou Zogmaister Finney. He was preceded in death by his father and both sets of grandparents. He is survived by his wife, Yumi; daughter, Samara; mother, Anna Lou; brother, Lowell and family.
Shawn graduated from Ben Lomond High School, attended Weber State University and North West Christian College. He became an Eagle Scout at age 14. He worked and retired from Hill Air Force Base.
Shawn and Yumi were married in Japan on April 17, 1999 for Yumi’s family and Japanese Culture. They were married again on August 14, 1999 at First Christian Church in Ogden, Utah. They were blessed with a loving daughter, Samara, on July 3, 2001.
Shawn had a very loving personality and made friends in different parts of the world. He was very hospitable and a gracious host. He loved to share his faith in Jesus The Christ with any and all.
The family extends a special thank you to the nurses and doctors in the ICU at McKay-Dee Hospital.
