Shaun D. Murphy Sr., 54, died on Saturday, March 12th in Conway, South Carolina.
He was a long time resident of Bergenfield, where he graduated from Bergenfield High School in 1980.
Shaun, better known as Murf, recently settled in Marion, South Carolina where he quickly became a member of his community, embracing all southern living had to offer. He was proud of his Irish heritage and his sobriety, spanning over 15 years. He was a devoted Harley Davidson enthusiast, exemplifying his favorite quotes “ride it like you stole it” and “one day at a time.”
Shaun is survived by his three children, Melissa, Shannon and Shaun Jr.; the mother of his children, Cheri Murphy; his siblings Marie-Anne Murphy Leinhaas, and her husband Paul, and Michael Murphy, and his wife Myra; six nieces and nephews and countless family and friends throughout the United States and Ireland. He was predeceased by his father Michael Murphy Sr. and his brother, Gari Murphy.
