Sharon Nadine “Nanny” Topel, 84, of Manassas, Virginia passed away peacefully on January 1, 2016. She was born on June 28, 1931 in Redfield, South Dakota the daughter of the late Edward and Sylvia (Rule) Klebsch. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil F. Topel, son-in-laws Greg Swick, Larry Sparks, and grandson Ryan Peterson. Survivors include her children, David Topel and wife Kerry, Charlene Peterson and husband Doug, Camille Swick, Laurie Topel, Blain Topel and wife Dawn; grandchildren Sadie Peterson (Mike), Zack Topel (Lynn), Sean Topel (Cally), Davey Topel, John Georger (Donata), Stephanie Earman, Kyle Peterson (Ana), Anne Peterson, Natalie Swick Campbell (Chris), Buddy Swick (Kylie), and Jessica Topel O’Leary (Brendan), 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters Joy Mutschelknous and Davonna Sheridan of Sioux Falls, SD; two brothers Bill (Zelda) Klebsch, Paul Klebsch of Redfield, SD, and many extended family and friends; and her beloved dog Sassy.
