Sharon Marie Kennedy nee Thurber of Burlington City died suddenly at Virtua Hospital on Sun. October 28, 2012. She was a life-long Burlington resident. She worked in the finance office for the City of Burlington for over 20 years. She founded and was the president of the IABCPW union for the employees of the City of Burlington. In addition Sharon was actively involved in her children’s many sports activities including softball, basketball and cheerleading when they were growing up. She loved the excitement of Harrah’s in Atlantic City and Parx Casino in Bensalem.
She is survived by her daughters Candace Kennedy of N. Arlington, NJ, Amanda Kennedy (fiancee Matt Odom) of North Pole AK, her mother and sister Marie and Michelle Thurber and her fiancee Joseph Bradley all from Burlington.
