Sharon Belles Taber, 72, of Boerne, passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2021.

Sharon was born on March 15, 1949 in Lawrence, Kansas to Charles and Norma Belles. She was precocious and the original speed reader, graduating from Lawrence High School at 16 and the University of Kansas at 19. She met and married John Taber in 1968 and they had three children. In 1973 the family moved to Texas, and during this time she began her career in insurance. She was also a tutor to her school-aged children and a wonderful wife to John. Sharon deeply valued education and led by example, earning her MBA while working full time. She kept fit and active throughout her life and was the fifth of five Tabers to play soccer. Her dedication to her children and grandchildren kept her busy with their early child care and endless activities.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 52 years, John Taber, Jr.; her daughter, Angela Taber; her sons, Joseph (wife Priscilla) and Daniel Taber; her grandchildren, Joseph Jr., Tristan, Sabrina, and Isabelle Taber; her mother, Norma Belles; her sister, Barbara Coffelt; and her nieces and nephews, Patrick and Jennifer Taber, Nicole and Sean Coffelt and Tony, Tara and Cody Belles.

Sharon was predeceased by her father, Charles Belles and her brother, Steven Belles.

Her family would like to express gratitude towards her sister and lifelong friends for their love and sacrifice.
