Sharlene Holdeman
August 14, 1952 – February 27, 2016

Sharlene Holdeman, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away after a yearlong courageous battle with cancer. She was born August 14, 1952, in Elko, Nevada, a daughter of Blaine Oral and Lavada L. Bobo Higley. She graduated from Battle Mountain High School, Class of 1970, and received her Associates Degree from Idaho State University.

Sharlene married Terrence D. Holdeman on June 23, 1993 in Ely, Nevada. They spent 22 happy years together and were sealed in the Ogden Temple for time and eternity on October 23, 2015.

She was a member of the LDS West Point 17th Ward. She was a member of the Union Pacific Historical Society and National Railway Historic Society. She worked with her husband in Public Relations for Pacific Limited Group and the Union Pacific Steam Program. And held the position of Shift Manager Pit operations with the Peppermill Casino in Wendover for 18 years.

Sharlene enjoyed doing genealogy. She collected Coca Cola and Barbies over the years. She loved her many cats. She was an excellent seamstress and would sew clothes for family members and friends. She loved to travel, but most of all, she loved life.

She is survived by her husband Terrance, daughter Michelle Kayima, 12 grandchildren; sister, Debra J. (Robinson) Jeffers, half-sister, Joyce Elaine (Freddy) Howard, and many nieces and nephews.
Sharlene was preceded in death by her parents, son, Steven J. Williams, and brother, Garry B. Higley.
