Sharleen R. Potterbaum, 58, of Elkhart, passed away unexpectedly at home Thursday, Jan. 19.
She was born, in Elkhart, Dec. 9, 1958, to the late Ray and Charlene (Bennett) Dickerhoff, and later married Larry Potterbaum in Elkhart in 1986. He survives her at home.
Also surviving are her son, Eric (Amber) Potterbaum, daughter Ashley Potterbaum and her brother, Jim Dickerhoff, all of Elkhart.
Sharleen worked at the Bayer Corp. and then ran Pottzie’s Italian Eatery in Michigan City with her husband until 2002. She was very active with Boy Scout Troop 122 of Osceola, and mentored and assisted more than 15 young men achieve the rank of Eagle Scout.
