Shane John Condon, 19, of Woodbury, passed unexpectedly on January 17th 2010. He was the beloved son of Vincent and Jane (Loukides) Condon and lived in Woodbury his whole life.
Shane was a 2009 graduate of Nonnewaug High School where he set a Berkshire League record in the 4 x 8 and excelled in track in the 1600 and 800. He captained the cross country and basketball teams and will be remembered for his leadership and mentoring of younger teammates. He was the recipient of the Nonnewaug Grid Iron Club Award and All-State Student Athlete recognition.
Shane spent this past summer working with his sister, Faith, at Camp Harkness for CIB/Oakhill, a summer camp for people with special needs.
He just completed his fall semester at the University of Vermont where he was a member of their cross country team.
Besides his parents, Shane was the cherished brother of Darcy Condon and her fiancé© Chris Lockwood, Faith Condon, and brothers Rory, Logan and Emmett. He was the grandson of Dorothy Loukides of Hamden and nephew of James Loukides of Atlanta, GA and Trudy and Butch Michaud-Fishlock of Providence, RI. Shane also leaves behind cousins Jeffery and Clare Michaud and Beth and Emma Fishlock as well as close family friends Shannon Whittemore, and Caitlin Macaulay, and “Uncle” Richard Carlson.
