Leominster- SFC (Ret.) James J. Doucette 51 of Leominster died Saturday July 11, 2009 in Health Alliance Leominster Hospital after being stricken ill at home. He was born on February 7, 1958 in Winchester, MA the son of Norman E. and Mary J. (Carroll) Doucette Sr. He graduated from Winchester High School Class of 1976, he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Methodist College Fayetteville, N.C. Mr. Doucette served in the United States Army, attaining the rank of Sergeant First Class, he served as a Weapons Instructor at the 1st Special Warfare Training Group at Fort Brag N.C. a Green Beret with the 10th Special Forces Airborne Group out of Fort Devens, MA, and a Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division out of Fort Bragg, N.C., he served in Grenada, was a member of the Multinational Forces & Observers in Sinai, Egypt, & Operation Provide Comfort in Northern Iraq. After retiring from his Military Career, he then worked for the United States Postal Service as a Clerk, at the Logistics & Distribution Center in Nashua, NH. Mr. Doucette was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Parish, Veterans of Foreign War Post 1807, American Postal Workers Union, Our Lady of the Lake Parish, & Souza-Baronowski Correctional Center’s Prison Ministry. He is survived by his wife of 23 years Jennifer A. (De Mornay) Doucette of Leominster, a daughter Emily Louise Doucette of Leominster, a son Joshua Lawrence Doucette of Leominster, his mother Mary J. (Carroll) Doucette of Winchester, MA, two brothers Norman E. Doucette Jr. and his wife Linda of Winchester, MA, Gary A. Doucette and his wife Linda of Jefferson, ME, a sister Diane M. Doucette of Winchester, MA, three sisters-in-law Cynthia De Mornay, Maureen De Mornay, & Karen De Mornay of Singapore, five nieces and his very good friend Luis Rodrigues. He was predeceased by his father Norman E. Doucette Sr. and his parents-in-law Leonard and Milicent De Mornay.
