North Greenbush – Sergeant First Class Kevin James Hindes, 44, of Hampton Place Blvd. died suddenly Thursday, December 6, 2018.
Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, he was son of Clyde J. ‘Chip’ Hindes and Janice M. Leber Hindes of West Sand Lake and husband of Haleigh K. Muskopf Hindes. He had resided in Troy and was a 1993 graduate of Darrow School in New Lebanon and attended Hudson Valley Community College and The College of Saint Rose.
Kevin was a soldier in the Army National Guard serving at Joint Forces Headquarters, Watervliet Arsenal. He proudly served in the Marine Corps for 8 years prior to his service in the Army. Kevin served a total of 22 years, reaching the rank of Sergeant First Class. Kevin loved to cook and was an avid reader. He enjoyed all sports especially paintball, skiing, and watersports. He was a member of the Mayfield Yacht Club.
Survivors in addition to his wife and parents include his brother, Ryan Hindes, West Sand Lake; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Barbara and Richard Muskopf, Saratoga Springs; his sister-in-law, Sydney (Scott) Messemer, Denver, CO; nephew and niece, Maxwell and Morgan Hindes and his paternal grandmother, Melva N. Hindes, Turnersville, NJ.
