On June 20, 2021, Severn Leroy Johnson passed surrounded by his loving family.  He was 91.

Born on the Johnson family farm, the son of Severn B. and Evelyn Rebecca (nee’ Warfield) he would be a lifelong resident of the area.

Severn is a graduate of Glen Burnie High where he expressed his joy for singing by participating with the Glee Club.  Following his school years he learned the trade of a carpenter. His last 10 years of full time work was spent  working for the State of Maryland in the trade.  He really enjoyed working with his hands, in particular working in his little workshop, where he made custom cabinetry.  He was a simple man, preferring the company of his beloved wife “Louise” Dorothy (nee’ Viers, late ) and his family above all.  Severn loved his Western movies and clothing he enjoyed dancing  and was often heard whistling while jingling change in his pocket.  He was also known for the passion he had for the hobby of pipe smoking.  He was also a member of the Glen Burnie Moose 1456.

Surviving him are his devoted daughters Deborah Smith, Joan Wojciechowski and husband Joe, Patti Nebel and spouse John, and Donna Rivero and husband Alberto.  Severn is reunited with his daughter Yvonne Boss in eternity.  He will be deeply missed by his sons, Roger and wife Wanda, Severn and spouse Carolyn and Douglas and wife Sharon Johnson. His brother Wayne and Wife Elizabeth “Liz” will miss him.  He will be fondly remembered by his son-in-law Raymond Boss.  His legacy continues in many grandchildren including, 19 grand, 34 great-grand and 1 great-great grand child.  Sister-in-law Ats Johnson will mourn the loss. He joins his brothers Ronnie and Elwood in passing.
