Sephora A. “Nan” Lucas, age 77, of Salem died at 2:05 a.m. Monday, January 13, 2014 at the Circle of Care. She was born April 19, 1936 in Carmichaels, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Charles C. and Florence M. (Crago) Plues. Sephora was a secretary for Salem-Republic Rubber Company and retired in 2001 and previously was a secretary for Dr. Robert Foster. She was Presbyterian by faith, a 1954 graduate of Cumberland Township High School in Carmichaels, Pennsylvania and a 53 year resident of the area. Her husband, John F. Lucas, whom she married July 2, 1955, preceded her in death on January 29, 2011 and 2 sisters, Carolyn Jane Plues and Shirley M. Taylor also preceded her in death. She is survived by two sisters: F. Charlene (Stephen) Rapchak of Lexington, Kentucky and Victoria S. (Daniel) Rendine of Tigard, Oregon, a niece, Larisa (Rapchak) Erwin of Ashburn, Virginia and several other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
