Viola Mary Seger, 82, of Highland, IL, formerly of New Baden, IL, died on Tuesday, August 23, 2005, at Highland Health Care in Highland, IL. She was born October 28, 1922, in Trenton, IL daughter of John and Bernadine (Vosholler) Kemper. She married Leo Seger on June 16, 1962 in Trenton and he preceded her in death on December 1, 1967.
She is survived by her step-mother, Clara Hagen of Tacoma, Washington; four step-daughters, Shirley Walton of Winneford, MO, Mildred Wiegmann of St. Louis, MO, Lorene Todd of Florida and Rose Mason of Florida; two step-sons, Louis “Sonny” Seger of Carlyle, IL and Leo Seger of Centralia, IL; a sister, Roselyn Kemper of Parson, TN; a cousin, Gertrude Holtgrave of Fairview Heights, IL and special friends Gary and Linda Bingaman of Highland, IL. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two step-sons and 2 step-daughters. Mrs.
Seger was an aid at Aviston Countryside Manor and Carlyle Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Paul Parish in Highland; a former member St. George Parish and Altar Sodality and the New Baden Senior Citizens; she was a participant in Special Olympics; and she was a volunteer at SWIC Retired Senior Volunteer Program and Faith Countryside Apartments in Highland.
