Scott Ron Hyde, of Meridian, died in a car accident in the early morning hours of March 3, 2012. He was eighteen years old, a senior in high school, and a wonderful son. He was born in Boise on September 15, 1993, and he was perfect. He was so full of life and never hesitated to try something new. Scott learned how to waterski at 3, started playing soccer at 5, and was oaring his own boat down the river at 10. He packed a lot of life into a short time and for that we will always be proud of him.
He and his brother Chad were always best friends. As Scott grew up our house was always full of boys, Scotty, his brother, and all of their friends. He played a wide variety of sports throughout his life. Soccer, basketball, track, football, lacrosse, and most recently he started boxing. We loved watching him play the game on the field or court. He had attended several high schools, but had always felt like he belonged to Mountain View. He was heading into the last quarter of his senior year with two classes to go, and was looking forward to graduation. We were so proud of him.
Scott loved to camp with his family and friends. Many of our best memories of Scott are spent camping on a river or a lake around Idaho. He was an excellent wakeboarder who had almost perfected a backflip, and he had oared his own raft through many of the biggest rapids of Idaho’s rivers. Main Salmon float trips were by far his favorite, and Hell’s Canyon ski boat trips ran a close second.
Scott has left behind his parents, Ron and Lisa, and his brother Chad; grandparents, Greg and Judy Boden, and Cleone Hyde of Meridian; many aunts and uncles living in the Treasure Valley, Lynda Chapman, John and Margo Wyman, Don and Sally Wyman, Trudy Hughes, Taylor and Judy Dahlquist, Rob and Lani O’Malley, and lots of cousins. Scott was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ronnie Wade Hyde of Emmett.
Scott also left behind all of his friends. That is where he loved to be. Life was never better than when he was kick’n it with his friends. Scotty we love and miss you so much.
